On Wednesday 19th October, The Geotechnical Society of Ireland hosted its five-year conference in Portlaoise on the topic of Geotechnical Engineering for Renewable Energy. The aim of this conference was to bring together practitioners and researchers to share their experiences and research results on a range of aspects of geotechnical engineering in renewable energy generation projects.

Darren Ward and John Holt, our respective CPT and Pressuremeter Managers, exhibited at the conference which was well attended by industry experts including; civil engineers, geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists in academia, consultancy, construction and public sector organisations.
