We recently completed a two week project in Kapan, Southern Armenia. After a wait at customs, we were able to get our detachable rams air freighted into the country then driven 6 hours south to the site.DSC00728

Three members of staff flew out to set up the equipment to ensure the job went smoothly and efficiently. The rams were welded onto a bulldozer which provided us with both the reaction force needed and the hydraulic power to test efficiently to produce quality data for our client. Furthermore, this enabled us to travel quickly between tests and work to our full potential.

The site was on a tailings dam on the waste material from a copper mine at the front of the valley. Our experienced staff successfully completed; 12 CPT tests, 16 Mostap samples and 2 seismic tests. The results will enable our client to discover if the ground is suitable to extend upwards as the copper mining continues.
