Early July saw the 7th Geotechnica Conference and Exhibition. This year, it was hosted at Brunel University and yet again brought together all sectors of the industry including stakeholders from suppliers and manufacturers through to contractors and clients.

This was our 6th year of exhibiting at this popular event, bringing together all parts of the industry to promote the specialist services, products and innovations the industry has to offer.

This was the first time the event has been held at Brunel University and this year, the event was more conference based than in previous years with many prestigious speakers from the industry in attendance. These included Prof. Iain Stewart, Director of Sustainable Earth Institute, Plymouth University who gave a lecture titled Between a rock and a hard place-Communicating contested geosciences to the public. He also addressed at the Gala Dinner on the first night which brought about 100 exhibitors and conference speakers together for a fabulous 3 course meal and networking opportunities.

In Situ Site Investigation was one of a few companies to attend Geotechnica as an outdoor exhibitor as well. We brought along ‘Walter’ one of our wheeled CPT rigs and one of our lead operators, Darren Hughes who was on site to demonstrate and answer questions.
