In Situ are looking forward to a busy Spring and Summer period exhibiting at a variety of events, as well as extending our knowledge base and contacts. We will also be sharing our expertise about CPT (cone penetration testing) and spreading the word about how we can help a range of clients with their soil investigation requirements.
Here’s what’s in store at the moment:
16th April 2015
We will be exhibiting at the British Drilling Association’s Seminar ‘Driving Innovation’ at the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull. There will be a variety of lectures from industry experts, looking at the latest trends and developments and considering what lies in store for the industry.
27th – 30th April
We will be one of the exhibitors at the 16th African Regional Congress on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering in Hammamet, Tunisia. The Conference will mainly focus on the specific challenges for Africa, via the lectures, workshops and training on offer. In Situ will be there as an exhibitor, demonstrating the wide variety of soil testing services that we can provide.
1st – 2nd May
Following this, we will also be attending an International Symposium for the 60th Anniversary of the pressuremeter. This is the seventh symposium and it is organized for the first time in Africa by the Tunisian Association of Soil Mechanics (ATMS). This will also be in Hammamet, Tunisia. The aim of the event is to exchange experience between contractors, manufacturers, consulting firm engineers, scientists and academics.
23rd – 24th June
We will be sharing our expertise by supporting a CPT (Cone Penetration Testing) technical seminar run by Equipe at their training offices in Banbury. We will be doing the practical demonstrations and sharing our expertise using a variety of equipment.
8th – 9th July
We will also be attending Geotechnica 2015, which is hosted by the Equipe group this year. Geotechnica is the UK’s largest geotechnical conference and exhibition, celebrating all that is good about the geotechnical and drilling industry. Includes live demonstrations, technical presentations, equipment and services. We will be taking an outside spot and taking as much equipment as we can to spread the word about In Situ SI.
13th – 17th September
We will be heading north to Edinburgh for the XVI European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical engineering. This will be the first of these conferrences to be held in Scotland. The overall theme for the event is ‘Geotechnical engineering for infrastructure and development.’ There will also be a technical visit to Scotland’s current landmark project, the Queensferry Crossing, including substantial earthworks and major foundation works, both onshore and offshore.
